Welcome to Heath Farm, a centre of classical dressage teaching and training excellence. Our first priority here is to create a balanced, professional and friendly environment where horse and rider will flourish together. My dedicated team will greet you and your horse with courtesy and care, ensuring that they understand the specific feed and care regime which you request.

 

The Farm

Heath Farm has been developed over the past 20 years into a training facility of which I am extremely proud. The standards my students have achieved give me enormous pride and satisfaction. I have trained a number of exceptional horses to international level, taking some as far as the World Equestrian Games and the Olympics. I am proud to say my successes are a product of the generous support of my owners and sponsors whose continuous encouragement helps me to generate the level of excellence required to compete in the world class division.

Bringing your horse to train at Heath Farm will be a pleasant and productive experience for horse, rider and owner. Tailor made training packages are designed to suit all needs and levels.

Work programs will be designed for your horse by myself to meet and help you achieve your goals whether it is competition preparation - backing/breaking or rehabilitation or simply to improve performance and scores!

Heath Farm's reputation speaks for itself. Your horse will be treated as my own at all times.

The other important members of the team help keep the horses at their peak at all times and will take care of any horse on my yard.

Training

The standards my students have achieved give me enormous pride and satisfaction. My teaching philosophy has evolved from such classical trainers under which I trained including Conrad Schumacher, Herbert Rehben and Klaus Balkenhol hence my credo of putting the horse's welfare first and ensuring the rider clearly understands my instructions and requirements to obtain optimum harmony between you. 

I have trained a number of exceptional horses to international level, taking some as far as the World Equestrian Games and the Olympics.

Facilities

When your horse stays at Heath Farm for training all our facilities and full livery services are included:

  • 24-hour on-site care
  • Beautiful 60 x 20m indoor school and viewing gallery (Tea and coffee provided, all are welcome)
  • 60 x 20m outdoor arena with spectacular surroundings
  • Fully trained and carefully hand-picked staff, including an International travelling groom
  • 6 furlong all weather gallops and access to beautiful hacking
  • Over 20 acres of grazing, made up of individual post and rain turn out
  • Training and working lessons available 5 days per week
  • All feed and equipment are provided and supplied by top suppliers - including monthly visits from nutritionists to ensure your horse's needs are individually met
  • All feed and bedding included although we have plenty of storage if you wish to bring your own
  • Lorry park and hook up available for overnight clients

Meet the Team

Kelly Lainsbury Personal Assistant
Kelly has worked for Emile for over 12 years, starting as a groom she has travelled to many international competitions with Emile. Kelly now manages the yard and is Emile's full-time personal assistant whilst juggling 2 kids and her own competing on some of the livery horses. ‘“I have a great relationship with Emile and the smooth running of everything behind the scenes for Heath Farm is my passion’. Emile says about Kelly "She knows all my little quirks and needs when I am competing and her relationship with the horses and my clients is very special."
Tom Goode Head Rider & Trainer
Since being based at Heath Farm Tom has trained several horses up to Grand Prix. He has Competed at the international small tour, previous Advanced Medium Winter Championship winner. Tom has a vast experience in producing top quality young horses and has taken several to the World Young Horse Championships.

Vikki Richards Head Girl & Travelling Groom
Vikki is our head girl and has a vast experience looking after top competition horses. Vikki overseas all the horses day to day requirements and her dedication to their health and well-being is president. For the whole Heath Farm team, the horse's well-being is a top priority especially when they are away competing, Vikki ensures that all the horses are relaxed and in the best condition to perform at their best.
